Project Overview
The site was a formal park on the edge of a Central European city. The brief was for a private cultural space — something that could host intimate gatherings, contemplation, and occasional exhibition without announcing itself as any of those things.
We designed a single-storey pavilion on a travertine plinth — the building reading as pure horizontal geometry against the trees. The roof sits above the glazing on a minimal steel frame, appearing to float. Inside, the space is a single volume divided by a travertine wall that does not reach the ceiling: two rooms in one, separated by mass rather than partition.
